We are the Borough of Richmond Allotment Group, a community group set up in 2014 to represent the 2200+ allotment plot holders across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Liaising with the council, helping to shape allotment policy, sharing ideas and building bonds between the 24 different Richmond sites.

Recording Our Wildlife
Join the iNaturalist group for Richmond Allotments and start recording what you find on your plot.
Sow for Diversity: Independent seed suppliers
When you’re planning what to grow on your allotment, where your seeds come from might not seem like a big decision. But choosing to buy at least some of them from small, independent seed growers can make a real difference.
THE BRAG MISSION STATEMENT
BRAG believes in the intrinsic value of allotment gardening as a way of:
o Growing healthy food with fewer chemicals
o Providing exercise, fresh air and horticultural education to the wider community.
o Promoting physical and mental health and well-being.
o Reducing food bills.
o Reducing food miles and carbon emissions.
o Promoting community and social values within and beyond the allotment community.
o Preserving wildlife and biodiversity
o Providing access to land for all Borough residents over 18, regardless of income and housing status.
- BRAG will canvass, represent and defend the majority views and interests of allotment holders in the borough of Richmond both now and into the future.
- BRAG will act co-operatively with LBRUT to develop and implement the Allotment Strategy Cultivating the Future.
- BRAG will maintain an open and creative response to ideas for change that promote better management of allotments.
- BRAG will promote the exchange of knowledge, experience, best practice and social connections across allotment sites in the Borough.
